One worked fine, the other had a defective LCD element and then it didn't work at all. I sent it back and they returned new one. It has a similar problem. About half the LCDs are dim. The battery connection is very poor. One time I put in the battery and nothing happens. Another time it comes on but half the LCD elements are poor. If you don't mind sending it back to the manufacturer a bunch of times buy this product. ACCUSPLIT AL530 Table TopTimer Review date: 2007-05-01 Rating: 8 out of 10 This is a nice timer for the money. It can be easily read from across the room. The description of this product is full of errors though. It runs on a AAA battery and not a C battery. It doesn't feature a four-mode stopwatch. It's more like a single-mode stopwatch with no split features. It says it is accurate to 1/100th of a second, but the display only shows seconds, minutes, and hours. The two countdown timers can be set to countdown from 23:59:59. And the only alarm this timer has is the countdown timers. Each countdown timer has its own memory so it is easy to reset the timer to a preset time. Forget about the warranty. Accusplit warranties are based on when the product is made and not when you purchase it. Even then, only the first year is free (not including shipping). You have to pay a fee for warranty repairs after the first year. The unit I received from Amazon was manufactured over two years ago (still brand new sealed in its package). If it wasn't for the crazy warranty policy, I would have given this timer 5 stars. |
